Will you be our Arts and Culture Intern?

Will you be our Arts and Culture Intern?

SHORT DESCRIPTION
6 or 3 month internship within the Arts and Culture Programme at the Finnish Institute.

DESCRIPTION OF PLACEMENT
The intern will support the Arts and Culture Programme in daily duties. Work at the Institute is often fast-paced, requiring multi-tasking, prioritising skills and a “can do” attitude. Typical tasks include project coordination work and daily internal office routines. We value initiative, teamwork, flexibility and organisational skills. The applicant should have a relevant background to be able to work in the Arts and Culture Programme. Media skills (WordPress, Photoshop, Premiere) are considered a plus. Excellent skills in Finnish and English are essential.

DATES
We are looking for one intern. The internship starts either on 6.1.2020 (6 months) or 1.4.2020 (3 months). The dates are negotiable.

FUNDING
The selected intern must be able to secure funding for the internship themselves. Previous interns have secured funding for example through their universities, the Erasmus programme or the Finnish employment office (työkokeilu). The Institute is unable to accept interns without a source of funding. The Institute will, however, support the internship by supplying a monthly travel card for Transport for London (zones 1-2).

HOW TO APPLY
The application must include a CV and a motivation letter in English, stating why you are interested in an internship at the Institute. These should be sent by the end of Sunday 24.11.2019 to jaakko.nousiainen@fininst.uk. We accept applications by email only.

If you have any further questions, please email them to jaakko.nousiainen@fininst.uk
