EGS to Take Part in Irish Design Week 2025
'Three Letters, Three Wells – A Pilgrimage in Glass
This autumn, Finnish graffiti and contemporary artist EGS sets out on a journey to Kilkenny, Ireland—tracing the footsteps of Finnish design legend Kaj Franck, who travelled there in 1961.
Along the way, EGS plans to lose the path on purpose. Blending glass sculpture, graffiti, storytelling, holy wells and other sacred sites, the project reimagines what a design pilgrimage might look like today.
The new work series, titled 'Three Letters, Three Wells – A Pilgrimage in Glass' will be presented as part of Irish Design Week 2025 between 17th - 21st of November. The full festival programme will be announced later this autumn.
The project is a collaboration with Design Crafts Council Ireland and the Finnish Cultural Institute in the UK and Ireland.
