Based on Kimberly

Based on Kimberly is a company created by Imogen Huzel and Inka Pehkonen. Their desire is to uncompromisingly and unpretentiously commit to their vision of what circus can be, and make things happen!

Based on Kimberly is a company created by Imogen Huzel and Inka Pehkonen (formerly co-directors of Fauna Circus and Sisus). Based on Kimberly’s desire is to uncompromisingly and unpretentiously commit to their vision of what circus can be, and make things happen!

Using the resources they have and whatever artistic medium best serves their vision, they create from a punk, playful, and politically left playground. Fueled by love and created with a clown mentality, they frequently incorporate topics of feminism, freedom of speech, friendship, community, sexuality, and identity. Based on Kimberly aims to create an open atmosphere for artistic processes and experiments to grow and find their tangible place in the world.
