Päivi Raivio

Päivi Raivio is an award-winning urban designer, placemaker, and artist passionate about creating more livable, happier, and greener cities. She works at the intersection of strategy, design, and implementation, helping cities turn visions into real, people-centred public spaces through experimentation, participation, and co-creation.

Päivi has over 10 years of experience in public art, placemaking, and urban design. In 2022, she received the Helsinki Design Award for her work in participatory urban design and placemaking.

She is the co-founder of RaivioBumann Design Studio and Parkly Urban Furniture, and serves as a leader within the Placemaking Europe and Placemaking Finland networks. At RaivioBumann, Päivi is responsible for conceptual development, design, project management and collaborations.

Her mission is to help cities turn ideas into action — and to create urban environments where everyone can feel at home and thrive.
